    Join us for our memory cafe! What is a Memory Cafe? It’s a place where people with dementia and their caregivers can relax and socialize in a safe and accepting space. Caregivers and those with dementia will find support and enjoy the company of others who are on a similar journey. Join us at Pinot's Palette in Powell for painting, food, and fun!     As a caregiver, it can feel challenging to find the care and support YOU need to be at your best. Join our Memory Loss Empowerment Group where caregivers share resources,  insight, advice and encouragement to empower each other. You’ll learn helpful tips and techniques for caregiving along with approaches that worked for others in similar situations. You’ll also have an opportunity to talk about your personal caregiving experiences and share advice with others.

    Research shows dancing offers physical and cognitive benefits that may help reduce the risk of dementia. Join us to hear Dale Deweil, who was recently featured on Spectrum News, discuss the benefits of dancing and how ballroom dancing keeps him connected to his wife who is living with Alzheimer's disease. Attendees will also enjoy dancing demonstrations by the staff of Fred Astaire dance studio in Powell.
